The Gandhi family has successfully entrenched the British Raj policy and concept of slavery in every Indian, so much so, that they have managed to convince every Indian that they should remain indebted to them for effecting our independence!
A most illogical ideology that they have used to their advantage for decades. The Indian National Congress has lost its individuality and is now nothing more than a family-owned business. The Gandhis are extremely possessive of their plastic throne of ‘power’ and obsessed with using every trick in the book to make sure that their sins since Independence will not be revealed to the public.
However, curiously, there have been certain events that have brought to light a clear and defined division between Priyanka Vadra and Rahul Gandhi over the plastic throne. In 2018, the NDA Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi faced multiple defeats in the state elections of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
In Rajasthan, though Sachin Pilot had done all the groundwork to build a strong case for the Congress to gallop to victory, Rahul Gandhi’s choice was set aside and Ashok Gehlot, the pick of Antonia Maino and Priyanka was made the CM. Rahul – 0, Priyanka – 1.
The same happened in Madhya Pradesh where Jyotiraditya Madhavrao Scindia, a close aide of Rahul Gandhi was relegated to obscurity and the 1984 anti-Sikh riots perpetrator Kamal Nath was made the CM. Another pick of Antonia and Priyanka. Rahul – 0, Priyanka – 2.
Then came the appointment of Bhupesh Baghel as CM of Chhattisgarh which appears to be Rahul Gandhi’s choice and so it is now Rahul – 1, Priyanka – 2.
In 2017, Capt Amarinder Singh was made the CM of Punjab quite unanimously. Trigger-happy motormouth Navjot Singh Sidhu had jumped ship from the BJP to Congress while holding hands with AAP. Needless to say, his verbal diarrhea got the better of him and he spent the larger part of the last four years gunning for Capt Amarinder Singh and threatened to leave the Congress at an alarming regularity sulking and throwing tantrums. Well, his tantrums finally paid off because he was made the Punjab Congress Chief in July 2021. So it is now Rahul – 1, Priyanka – 3.
Now we move on to all the important state of Uttar Pradesh which determines who is likely to rule from Delhi in the Lok Sabha elections of 2024. Now, while Rahul Gandhi is dreaming of becoming Prime Minister not through his own hard work but by breaking the BJP through planted moles and splitting votes, Priyanka Vadra has her own dream of becoming CM of Uttar Pradesh.
Now, neither Rahul Gandhi nor Priyanka Vadra have been a minister at state level or in the Cabinet or for that matter even been a Chief Minister, but their overwhelming false sense of importance (Narcissistic personality disorder (NPD)) and self-entitlement have made them delusional and grab power by any means possible whether they are fit for the job or not. They are unable to stop the murmurings in their own party but think they can run a state and country of 130 crore people!
Interestingly, both Priyanka Vadra and Rahul Gandhi form ranks whenever they feel someone eligible is threatening to usurp their plastic throne. Case in point – Sachin Pilot. After the royal drubbing of the Congress and its allies in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Sachin Pilot saw an opportunity to grab the seat of the Congress President. Rahul Gandhi went into a great sulk blaming everyone except himself for the humiliating defeat. A carrot was dangled in front of Sachin Pilot. A trap was laid and Sachin Pilot fell straight into it.
Sachin Pilot was getting increasingly annoyed with Ashok Gehlot and was looking for a way out of Rajasthan and the clutches of the veteran leader. Sensing a chance to prove himself, he threw his name in the hat for party president. Seeing that Sachin Pilot was resolved to make his case with the other party members and their grasp of the plastic throne weakening, Priyanka, Rahul and Antonia decided to encourage Pilot to realize his dream of becoming the CM of Rajasthan while making sure that the post of the party president would continue to remain with them.
Sachin Pilot was given a daily dose of what could be and what will be should he rebel against Gehlot. The pressure was applied by the minions of the three Gandhis with Vadra having his own vested interest in making sure that Pilot will never be considered for any post of importance in the Congress in the future.
As expected, Sachin Pilot rebelled and hid himself away with a few loyalists in a resort. The usual parade of MLAs at Raj Bhavan took place with reporters “correctly” stating that Pilot would either join the BJP or float his own party. As the days went by, Sachin Pilot weakened without knowing that this was a trap laid by the Gandhis to make him look like an ass in the public eye.
It was clear that the BJP would not touch Pilot with a barge pole as his father-in-law is Farooq Abdullah – a man who has robbed the riches of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir for decades.
The stalemate continued for days with Gehlot gaining favour from the Gandhis while Pilot increasingly looked like a recalcitrant child. In the end, everyone abandoned Pilot realizing that he had no power and no support from either the state or the central leadership. Sachin Pilot was grounded even before he took off in a magnificent show of strength and cunningness by the Gandhis. He is now unimportant and stripped off all powers and is effectively dhobi ka kutta na ghar ka na ghat ka!
In conclusion, the battle of wits will continue right up to Lok Sabha 2024 with Priyanka having a slender lead over Rahul. The outcome of the UP elections will determine who will be pushing who out of the plastic throne.
